Privacy and Data Policy

About Data

The data in your credit profile is your property

  1. Your profile is encrypted
  2. Your profile will never be seen by us at Lumenous unless you request it in the process of seeking our help or advice
  3. Your profile is not shared with anyone except by your actions
  4. The content of your profile also remains in the software or services it originated from and locations you have chosen to connect to your profile
  5. Your profile will always remain your profile, whether you pay for our service or not

Your source accounts and other service passwords are:

  1. Never seen by us
  2. Not shared by us with anyone
  3. Not stored by us somewhere in the cloud
  4. They are not even stored in the Service!
  5. You only enter your passwords when connecting your accounts to your profile

We do not:

  1. Store any personal data on you except as essential to facilitating your use of the Service
  2. Share your personal data with anyone, unless you have given us specific permission
  3. Post any notifications on services or software you connect to Lumenous or elsewhere, or email or message your contacts unless you choose to send something from within the Service

We do:

  1. Track your activity in order to:
    1. Recommend tags to apply to financial data you connect to your profile
    2. Develop an assessment of the trustworthiness of your profile for the benefit of others you invite to view your profile (see below)
    3. Display anonymized like-company data to you and your creditors
    4. Provide you with any byproducts of such tracking relevant to you and your profile
  2. Capture statistics on the volume or type of data you have shared in order to:
    1. Identify and modify features that may be making your use of Lumenous difficult
    2. Enhance our Service to make it more useful to you
    3. Recommend data to add to your profile to make it more complete and effective

Data Protection Regulations:

As a business incorporated in the United States but expecting to serve users globally, we aspire to meet privacy requirements in every jurisdiction of relevance and concern to our members. Further, Lumenous is an active member of the Personal Data Ecosystem Consortium (www.pde.cc) and related initiatives that foster and drive adoption of personal data and data privacy standards and protocols.

Personal Information

We collect personal information you provide when you register with Lumenous during your first use of the Service. We retain it in order to:

Note that by registering, you agree to receive e-mails from Lumenous. These e-mails may contain information about products supplied by companies related to Lumenous. This registration information is NOT passed on to third parties except as may be required when you authorize another company to connect data to Lumenous on your behalf. Maintaining this registration is entirely your choice and, if you wish to deregister from receiving emails that are sent by Lumenous the company and not the Service, you can do so by responding to such e-mails you receive.

Data held on LinkedIn or other professional networks

Lumenous does not access data on LinkedIn or other professional network accounts or other services of Lumenous users except to the extent you authorize its use in your profile at Lumenous. Your professional and personal connections (and all details related to your connections, such as email address), files or other information you connect to the Lumenous Service are transferred directly from your LinkedIn or other professional network accounts or services to your profile and are never seen or used by Lumenous, or third parties, at any time unless you have given specific permission.

Downloaded and authorized data you connect with or otherwise send to Lumenous

Where you connect data you have downloaded or authorized to connect from other services to Lumenous for any reason, this information will only be used by Lumenous to restore information in your profile in the event it has been corrupted or lost and will be destroyed at your request.

Information Collected Automatically

Using web analytics services, Lumenous collects information about your use of the Service and may also record mouse clicks, mouse movements and scrolling activity, as well as any text you type into the Service. However, Lumenous does NOT collect personally identifiable, sensitive, or personal information beyond what is needed to monitor the usability of the Service. Any such information that Lumenous collects is used for reporting on the demographics of users and to help Lumenous provide an improved user experience. Information collected is available only to Lumenous and is NOT passed on to third parties.

Security

All information is stored within a secure database. Service Access is protected by SSL. Any data collected by Lumenous from this Service is protected from unauthorized access.

Accuracy of Collected Data

Lumenous will on its own initiative, or at your request, replenish, rectify or erase any incomplete, inaccurate or outdated personal data.

Notifications sent by the Service

No notifications or other communications are sent by the Service back to your external software, professional networks or other services, unless you opt to do so by using tools that may become available in the Service. Nor is it possible for the Service to email or message your professional or other network contacts, unless you take specific actions within the Service to do so.



Use of cookies

Lumenous uses cookies in order to track your progress from emails initiated through the Service as well as page to page of the Service. Without these cookies the Service would not be able to react intelligently to your input.

In addition, we may use third party software or services to help us create different versions of our web pages to test which is most helpful to our users. Such software or services may use cookies to track which page variant a user has seen, to track if a user has clicked on a page variant, to monitor traffic patterns and to gauge popularity of service options. These cookies also allow us to make sure that users see the landing page they expect to see if they return to the same web URL.
